¡¾EVENTS¡¿Call for Submissions -- Youth Voices: Stories of Global Energy Transition



Introduction

In order to accelerate the global energy transition and sustainable development, and fully leverage the role of young people as a driving force and engine of innovation in the global energy transition process, under the guidance of the National Energy Administration of China and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the "Youth Empowerment: Leading the Energy Future" special event will be held on the afternoon of October 22, 2025, in Suzhou, China. The event is co-organized by Tsinghua University and the China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, with the Suzhou Municipal Government as host.

The event will feature the following key segments:

? Energy Transition Masterclass: Internationally renowned energy experts will share insights on the global landscape of energy transition, providing youth with macro perspectives and cutting-edge knowledge.

? "Youth Voices: Stories of Global Energy Transition" Youth Speeches: Young speakers will present case studies on energy transition, focusing on storytelling and impact to share their unique perspectives on the path toward energy transformation.

? Future Energy Salon: Young participants from around the world will gather to enhance their core competencies and practical skills in navigating complex international environments, discussing the contributions of youth to the global energy transition.

As a vital part of this event, we are now launching a global call for submissions for the "Youth Voices: Stories of Global Energy Transition" case collection campaign, inviting young people worldwide to share their experiences and insights.


Call for Submissions

We warmly invite young people from around the world to share case studies of energy transition initiatives you have personally experienced or participated in. Submissions should include:

? Energy transition projects or initiatives from your country/region.

? The role you played and your personal contributions as a young participant.

? The key outcomes and lessons learned from the project.

? Your reflections and recommendations on your country's energy transition and the global energy transformation.


Submission Materials

? A PDF document containing the above information.

? A presentation (PPT format) suitable for a 10-minute speech.

? A brief self-introduction or resume/CV.

? Supplementary materials such as videos and photos (optional).

? Language: All materials must be in English.


Timeline

? Submission Period: August 28, 2025 ¨C September 21, 2025.

? Review & Announcement: After the submission deadline, an expert panel will review all entries and select the top five cases. The creators of these cases will be invited as speakers for the "Youth Voices" speech segment. Notification of results will be sent on September 29-30, 2025.

? Other outstanding cases will be featured in a "Case Study Showcase" during the event.


Support for Candidates

Selected speakers for the "Youth Voices" segment will be invited to attend the forum in Suzhou, China. The organizers will cover round-trip international airfare and accommodation and meals during the conference.

For large files¡Ý100MB, provide a public cloud link (e.g., Google Drive/Dropbox) and ensure link access is set to ¡°anyone with the link.¡±

Please use [2025 IFET Youth-Case Theme-Name] as the prefix for both the email subject and attachment names.
